City Council adopts resolution allowing two construction projects at Drexel University

Philadelphia City Council today adopted a resolution allowing Drexel University to revise its master plan, allowing for new building projects.

Drexel plans to build a new structure for the LeBow College of Business on the south side of 32nd and Market streets and a small addition to the existing Race Street Residence Hall at 33rd and Race streets.

The new LeBow building will be 12 stories tall, and will have classrooms, student amenities and faculty office space. Green construction methods will be used, including low VOC building materials, daylighting, efficient building systems and a green roof.

The residence hall addition is a 2,900 square-foot study lounge.
