Christie to tout Corbett’s candidacy at GOP dinner

Chris Christie is appearing with Gov. Tom Corbett at a state Republican Party dinner in central Pennsylvania.

The New Jersey governor and potential presidential hopeful is slated to speak before several hundred party faithful at Friday night’s event in Camp Hill. Ticket prices range from $100 for the dinner and reception to $250, which includes a VIP photo reception.

Christie also is the chairman of the Republican Governors Association, Corbett’s largest campaign donor. As of Sept. 15, the RGA had sunk $5.8 million so far into Corbett’s struggling re-election campaign against Democratic challenger Tom Wolf.

Christie was re-elected in a landslide last year. He says he’s busy stumping for GOP candidates around the country and plans to spend most of the next few weeks on the road.
