Cherry Hill woman stranded in snowstorm was driving stolen car, police say
Authorities say a woman was arrested after the stolen car she was driving became stuck in a large pile of snow during the weekend storm.
Cherry Hill police said 20-year-old township resident Tamera Flynn was charged with receiving stolen property.
Officers found Flynn when they responded to a disabled motorist call on Route 70 around 8 p.m. Saturday. She declined their assistance, but officers noticed the vehicle’s rear license plate was not properly mounted.
They soon discovered that the plate had apparently been placed on top of another plate. The officers checked both plates and learned that the car had been reported stolen in Winslow Township.
A telephone number for Flynn could not be located Tuesday. It wasn’t known if she’s retained a lawyer.
