Central Delaware animal welfare group gets new executive director

With the arrival of the new year, a new Executive Director is in charge of the Kent County SPCA.

The Kent County SPCA announced the appointment of Kevin Usilton in December.  Usilton most recently was Director of Animal Control in Baltimore, and previously served as Executive Director of the Wicomico County Maryland Humane Association.  Murrey Goldthwaite resigned as Kent SPCA Executive Director in December.  The agency is Delaware’s only open-access shelter for dogs and assists with animal welfare and shelter concerns in all three counties, not only in Kent County.
