Car stolen from Del. home found in NJ

The dark gray Lexus stolen from a Wilmington home one day after the New Year was found in Newark, New Jersey, police said.

New Castle County police say officers with the Newark Police Dept. stopped the car Saturday with two people inside. County police spokesman Cpl. Jacob Andrews says the two individuals are currently in custody in NJ.

NCCo detectives are looking into whether they have any connection to last week’s assault in the Windsor Hills neighborhood that sent a 61-year-old woman to the hospital.

Cpl . Andrews says the victim remains in critical condition at Christiana Hospital.
