Business development programs come before Delaware council

The Delaware Council on Development Finance will consider several proposals for loans and grants today, including one from the University of Delaware Small Business Technology Development Center.

The center is requesting a $400,000 grant to fund ongoing business advisory services, training and educational programs and information and research services.  Jackson and Sharp LLC is also on the agenda seeking approval for an extension of its Brownfield Development grant of $100,000.  Remedial work is continuing at its site on East 8th Street in Wilmington.  Numerous other proposals will also be discussed.  The Council on Development Finance meets this morning at the Buena Vista Conference Center on Route 13 near New Castle.
