Downtown Mt. Holly will be a sea of green as the Burlington County St. Patrick’s Day Parade returns for its 12th run on Saturday, Mar. 5, 2016.

Numerous pipe bands, Irish step dancers, local civic groups, police and fire departments will march in honor of Irish-American heritage, led by this year’s Grand Marshall, Bobby Tippin, president and cofounder of the Ancient Order of Hibernians Mike Doyle Division 4. Tippin will be joined by the parade’s as-yet-to-be-named Miss St. Patrick 2016.

Awards will be bestowed for a variety of “best in” categories, including Best Pipe Band, Best Marching Band, Best Irish Dance Group, Spirit of the Parade and Irishman of the Year.

The official parade after-party will take place in a heated tent behind the reviewing stand (corner of Washington and High Sts.) with live musicians and dancers performing on two stages.
