Black Madam charged with murder in silicone-injection death

A woman who used silicone to enhance the rears of women is facing murder charges.

Padge Windslowe is facing charges of third-degree murder and unauthorized practice of medicine in the 2011 death of a British woman who flew to Philadelphia for silicone injections.

Philadelphia District Attorney Seth Williams says Windslowe, known as the Black Madam, should never have been doing the enhancement procedure.

“Silicone butt pumping is not medically approved,” he said. “Receiving medical procedures from people who are not medically trained may result in your death.”

Prosecutor Bridget Kirn says even the material used for the enhancement wasn’t correct.

“It seems that it’s consistent with food-grade silicone, rather than medical grade silicone,” she said Tuesday.

Windslowe was arrested in March in West Philadelphia where she allegedly was about to perform the procedure again. A second woman survived a similar procedure, but has silicone in her lungs which could be life threatening, authorities said.
