Biden to visit Philly for the Fourth

Vice President Joe Biden plans to visit Philadelphia for the Fourth of July.

He’ll participate in the “Celebration of Freedom” ceremony at Independence Hall, according to a statement from his office.

The annual event includes music, speeches and a reading of excerpts from the Declaration of Independence.

Organizers say Friday’s ceremony will also recognize the 50th anniversary of the Civil Rights Act and the 60th anniversary of the Supreme Court decision ending school segregation.
