Anxious parents and annoyed teenagers in Pennylvania will have to wait for a decision about possible changes to teen driving laws. While the House supports stricter regulations, the Senate has taken issue with some of the adjustments. Rep. Josh Shaprio of the 153rd District is at the forefront of the movement for change.
House Bill 61, approved in April 2009, would set limits on cell phone use, increase the number of required training hours and reduce the number of passengers allowed in the car with teen drivers, the Pottstown Mercury reports.
While the Senate disagrees with some of the regulations and their penalties, Shapiro has vowed to get the bill passed.
