Beginning October on a warm note

Happy October! With high pressure firmly in place, we’re beginning the month with temperatures well above normal, and it will just get warmer tomorrow.
For today, sun and clouds, with high temperatures in the mid to upper 70s (perhaps 80 in some locales). Winds are currently light out of the west, increasing during the afternoon to around 10 to 15 mph. Clearing tonight and relatively mild.
It will be even warmer Wednesday through Friday. Temperatures away from the coast will reach the low to mid 80s, while the beaches will remain in the upper 70s to around 80. Mostly sunny each day.
Tentatively, the weekend — especially Saturday — looks decent. It’ll still be warm, but with a system approaching from the west Sunday, there’s a chance of showers.
