Bag It! The Movie screens at Theatre N in Wilmington

The subject is plastic bags, and plastic in general, as Wilmington’s Theatre N hosts an Earth Day / Week screening tonight of “Bag It! The Movie.”

The movie follows a man’s quest to document the plastic bag’s contribution to pollution in the country (an estimated 60,000 plastic bags are used every five minutes  in the USA), and examines the use of plastics in everyday products and uses you may not think of.  The suggested donation for tonight’s 7:00 p.m. showing is $5.00.  The Brandywine Sprouts Chapter of Roots and Shoots International and the Delaware Chapter of the Sierra Club are hosting the screening, which will be followed by a discussion program.  The Brandywine Sprouts are boys and girls ages 9 to 13 who are trying to get Delaware to be the first state to ban plastic bags.  Theatre N is located at 1007 North Orange Street in Wilmington.
