Attempted lurings reported in Frankford, Wissinoming
Police in the Special Victims Unit have identified an attempted luring pattern in Frankford and Wissinoming over a 10-day period this month.
All the complainants are children between the ages of 11 and 13, and were walking home from Harding Middle School at the time of the alleged lurings.

Case #1: Occurred Monday, Nov. 5, at approximately 5:30 p.m. at Torresdale Avenue and Van Kirk St. A 40- to 50-year-old white man with a white beard, blue jacket, blue jeans and white sneakers exited an alleyway and grabbed the shirt of a 13-year-old black male. DC# 12-15-110588.
Case #2: Occurred Thursday, Nov. 8, at approximately 3:30 p.m. at, 2000 Wakeling St. A 45-year-old black or Hispanic male asked a 13-year-old black male if he wanted to walk his dog. The alleged offender shoved the leash into the boy’s hand when the boy refused. The pair walked down the block, then the offender grabbed the leash and walked away. The offender is described as 6’2”, 240 lbs, with a light beard, black/gray hair, tan coat, blue jeans and black boots. DC# 12-15-108889.
Case #3: Occurred Tuesday, Nov. 13 , at approximately 3:15 p.m. at Harbison Avene and Ditman Street. A 45- to 50-year-old Hispanic male — 6’0”, 200 lb, black/gray hair, beard, gray shirt and black pants — was walking behind 12-year-old white female and called, “come here” to her. The girl ran to her friends and the offender walked away. DC# 12-15-110548.
Case #4: Occurred Thursday, Nov. 12, at approximately 3:15 p.m. at Sanger and Ditman streets. A 35- to-40-year-old black male was mumbling incoherently as he walked behind an 11-year-old Hispanic male. The boy ran home. The offender is described as being 6’0”, 200 lbs.,with a beard, blue coat and black/white sneakers. DC# 12-15-111204
