Atlantic City to host nationally televised arena football showdown on May 30
Talk about a kick off! The Philadelphia Soul will bring arena football to Atlantic City just as the Jersey shore high season begins.
The inaugural DraftKings Boardwalk Bowl will pit the team against the Las Vegas Outlaws on Saturday, May 30 at Boardwalk Hall. It will be nationally televised by CBS Sports Network.
And though the Soul’s hometown is Philly, it’s a real East versus West match-up between the two cities known for being the biggest players (and rivals) in the casino gaming industry.
The game is the brainchild of the Soul’s majority owner, former Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Ron Jaworski.
The so-called “Brawl at the Hall” received a special event grant from New Jersey’s Casino Reinvestment Development Authority and is the first big score for the Atlantic City Sports Commission. The commission was formed in January to help attract more sporting events to the city.
Tickets start at $15 and can be purchased by calling (888) 879-SOUL or visiting www.PhiladelphiaSoul.com
Saturday, May 30, 6 p.m. – 2301 Boardwalk, Atlantic City, N.J.
