Armed robbery attempt at Delaware mall
A woman trying on clothes in a dressing room was accosted by a man with a knife at the JC Penny’s store in the Christiana Mall.
State Police are trying to identify the man who approached the woman as she was leaving the dressing room around 7:50 p.m. on Tuesday June 12.
He forced his way into the dressing room while armed with the knife and demanded some money. She refused to hand over any money and started screaming. That’s when the suspect ran from the store. The victim was not injured.
Police describe the suspect as a white male between 20 and 30 years old, 5’06” to 5’09” tall weighing 140 to 160 lbs. with a light beard.
