Armed robber goes after West Oak Lane grocery store

Serrata Grocery Store in West Oak Lane was robbed on Feb. 28 at 7:15 p.m. when an unknown male entered the store, 7453 East Walnut Lane, armed with a handgun.

As the suspect demanded money from the employee, the employee pulled out a handgun and fired two shots, missing the suspect. The suspect then fled on foot without taking any money. He was last seen going south on 75th Street then east through a driveway on the even side of 21st Street.

The suspect is described as a black male with light complextion, 6’0″, with medium build. He was last seen wearing a black mask, a dark green Northface jacket, blue jeans and dark colored gloves.
