Are you going to a National Night Out event in NW Phila. tonight? We’d love to see your photos

Tonight marks the 29th annual National Night Out, an event in which police departments throughout the country team up with local civic groups, town watch groups and local officials to send a message to criminals that the neighborhood is organized and fighting back against crime. It’s also a great opportunity for residents to get outside, get to know their neighbors and strengthen neighborhood spirit.

Here’s a list of National Night Out events taking place in Northwest Philadelphia:

5th District Police Department – Gorgas Park in Roxborough, 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
East Falls Town Watch – Carfax building at 3540 Indian Queen Lane in East Falls, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Germantown Deaf Ministry Fellowship – 5219 Germantown Ave. in Germantown, 6 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
Mt. Airy Concerned Neighbors – 1136 E. Durham Street, 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

If you’re going to one of these events in Northwest Philadelphia, we’d love to see your photos. Send them to nwproducers@whyy.org to be included in a NewsWorks gallery.
