Archdiocese begins releasing bulletin inserts in response to abuse investigations
The Archdiocese of Philadelphia has released its first bulletin insert in what’s being billed as a “commitment to victim assistance, child protection and the integrity of the priesthood.”
The insert was distributed to all 268 parishes and published on the diocese’s website.
The first in the series details information about priests on administrative leave, those who’ve been indicted and others under investigation in connection with varying degrees of inappropriate contact and sexual abuse.
The insert does not use any names, but explains how the diocese is handling the claims and what parishioners can expect.
