April 6-8: Pop-up Opera, Green Walls, Easter Promenade

Friday, April 6. Noon. The Porch at 30th Street Station. Members of Center City Opera Theater’s Young Artist Program will perform a lunchtime outdoor opera, making passersby part of the stage. Free.

Green Walls

Saturday, April 7. 10am-Noon. Meadowbrook Farm, 1633 Washington Lane, Abington Township. As part of the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society’s gardening series at Meadowbrook, learn how to create a wall garden using “Wooly Pockets” and other products. $25 members, $30 non-members.

81st Annual Easter Promenade

Sunday, April 8, 12:30pm. Starts at South Street and Passyunk Avenue. The 81st Annual Easter Promenade will start at 1pm on the nose, rain or shine. Come dressed to impress, pick up bunny ears at South and Passyunk starting at 12:30pm and parade down South Street to Headhouse Square. There will be vintage cars, Mummers, live music, treats, and prizes. After the parade, the winners of this year’s Easter Attire Contest will be announced. Free.
