April 27th – May 4th NatureFest, Get the Led Out, Snow White, and Before Your Eyes

NatureFest

Celebrate the outdoors at Hagley’s NatureFest! This new family program combines the themes of Arbor Day, Earth Day, and May Day into one fun-filled celebration. Children can climb trees and learn about the important role water plays in everyone’s life! The day’s hands-on craft activities and nature walks will honor the du Pont family’s annual tradition of searching for the first signs of spring at Hagley. Hagley Museum and Library, April 28th, 10 A.M.

Get the Led Out

Get The Led Out is a group of professional musicians who are passionate about their love of the music of Led Zeppelin. It’s been their mission to bring the studio recordings of “the mighty Zep” to life on the big concert stage. This is not an impersonator act but rather a group of musicians who were fans first, striving to do justice to one of the greatest bands in rock history! World Cafe Live at the Queen, May 4, 2012 @ 8:30 pm

Snow White

A familiar tale by the Brothers Grimm is brought to life in this delightful adaptation as a children’s theatre play by Tim Kelly. Although this is not the Disney version, this play will surely delight audiences both young and old. Schwartz Center for the Arts, April 28th, 1 P.M. and April 29th, 2 P.M.

Before Your Eyes

Before Your Eyes is a moving drama about about ten-year old Gulistan and her younger brother Firat who live happily with their parents in the heart of Turkish Kurdistan. Suddenly tragedy strikes when their mother and father are shot down by paramilitary gunmen before their eyes. Movies at Midway, May 2, 7 P.M.
