App tracks New Jersey professionals’ licensing status
New Jersey residents (who happen to own Apple products) can now check the licensing status of 600,000 regulated professionals in the state with the help of a new app.
The Division of Consumer Affairs has launched its free New Jersey Professional License for the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. Consumers can enter the name of a professional or a business and select the license/registration type from a list, according to the Gloucester County Times’ description of the app. New Jerseyans can kill time in a hospital waiting room by checking to see if the nurses on duty are in good standing, for example.
The app is a partnership between the State of New Jersey and the New Jersey Information Division of NICUSA, which helps the state’s agencies get their information to web platforms, and is based on a list of 46 licensing boards and committees throughout the Garden State.
