Alleged gunman shot, wounded in North Philadelphia
Philadelphia police are investigating an early morning shooting incident that left an alleged gunman in the hospital after being shot by police.
WPVI-TV Action News reports the incident happened around 1:30 A.M. at 10th and Cumberland on the city’s north side.
According to Action News, investigators say the gunman and another person fled from a car after it was pulled over in the area.
According to the report, police say one suspect aimed a gun at one of the officers during the foot chase. That’s when an officer fired a shot and wounded the alleged gunman.
Action News reports the gunman is in stable condition at Temple University hospital.
