Aerial view of Hurricane Sandy’s devastation in New Jersey

President Obama and New Jersey Chris Christie surveyed the coastal damage today by helicopter. Yesterday the Governor assessed the damage of the barrier islands during his own aerial tour. The Governor’s office released these photos of Seaside Heights and Belmar New Jersey.

Photos from the Governor’s tour Tuesday, Oct 30, 2012

The photos by Tim Larsen show how extensive the flooding was in both coastal communities. While these show extensive damage, many nearby communities farther inland appeared to be in good condition with mainly wind damage.
