Abington police in third week of CopStache contest

It’s the halfway mark for the participants of CopStache, and despite general discomfort and some pleas from family for razor intervention, six officers are hanging tough. The Glenside News Globe Times Chronicle is keeping tabs on the contest, in which the officers aim to raise $10,000 by the ATPA’s March 18 beef and beverage event.

If they hit the mark, Police Chief Bill Kelly will shave the mustache he’s had for 38 years. It’s very likely that he won’t be alone in getting out the shaving cream.
