A cornucopia of weather for the next several days

Here’s what to expect over the next few days (yes, there’s some wintry weather in there depending on your location, but it’s not “bread and milk” weather).

Today: Sun and clouds. Drizzle/shower chance tonight. Highs in the low-mid 50s.

Thursday: Mostly cloudy. Chance of showers, especially during the afternoon. Rain likely at night. Highs around 60.

Friday: Rain. Highs in the low 50s. Wintry mix at night as cold air invades (likely northwest of the NJ Turnpike) and possibly some snow accumulation on grassy surfaces in the higher elevations. It will likely be too warm near the coast for anything but rain.

Saturday: Sun and clouds. Highs in the low-mid 40s (slightly colder in northern areas). Cold at night (20s away from the coast,; low 30s at the coast).

Sunday: Mostly cloudy. Highs in the 30s. As a low pressure system arrives during the day, a mixed bag of wintry weather is possible away from the coast (there could be a few flakes at the beaches, but that’s about it for now), eventually turning to rain for all as it warms on Monday. There’s still plenty of time to sort out specifics.

COLD returns for next week, likely beginning on Tuesday.
