KYW: SEPTA Slows its “Smart Card” System Plan, Again

KYW Newsradio reports that SEPTA has pushed back the bid deadline for vendors to provide a tokenless and ticketless fare collection system to June 23, saying that it is taking longer than expected to evaluate the bids for the approximately $100-million job.
Last November, the hope was that SEPTA would award a contract by April.
