Cut the Office of Sustainability? Send Councilman Green your thoughts.

As announced by the Next Great City, Councilman Bill Green wrote in response to the administration’s recent budget cuts that Mayor Nutter should have cut the Office of Sustainability and the new bicycle and pedestrian coordinator since they are ” trendy non-core services.”  See the full piece here.

Next Great City sees this position as “short sighted” because of the millions these initiatives will save in energy costs over the long term.
Send Councilman Green an email through NGC’s online action center if you want to let him know how valuable the Office of Sustainability and the Bicycle and Pedestrian Coordinator are. Tell him you value the Office of Sustainability and that its work will help boost our economy and environment.
