39th Police District: Where former tenant/landlord disputes resemble ‘The Shining’

April 20, 2012

5400 block Wissahickon Ave. – Handgun, cell phone and clothing was stolen from the property.

3500 block Conrad St. – Complainant said two men robbed him and another complainant at the location. Offenders fled with wallet, $25, credit cards, driver’s license, school ID, two cell phones and a purse.

2900 block W. Schoolhouse Lane – iPhone, wallet and $25 stolen from a 2003 Volkswagen.

2200 block Estaugh St. – 2001 Dodge Ram stolen.

2700 block N. Broad St. – Copper-wire ties stolen from the property.

2800 block Newkirk St. – Complainant said his boyfriend threw bleach at him and pulled a knife on him.

2600 block W. Lehigh Ave. – Complainant said his brother stabbed him with a knife in the upper left side of the chest during a dispute. Complainant was taken to the hospital. Offender was arrested.

April 21, 2012

400 block W. Coulter St. – Wallet, Social Security card, four pre-paid credit cards, medical card and a bus pass stolen from the property.

2800 block Midvale Ave. – GPS and coins stolen from 2002 Toyota Sequoia.

400 block W. Walnut Lane – Complainant said a cab customer stole $40 from his bag. Complainant said offender pushed him to the ground when he confronted him about taking the cash. Offender fled on foot.

5300 block Wissahickon Ave. – Tom-Tom GPS, CD player, air-mattress pump and a box of ceramic table settings were stolen from a 2005 Subaru Legacy.

19th St./Tioga St. – 2000 Ford Focus was stolen.

3500 block Gratz St. – Complainant said her son’s father punched, kicked and Tasered her during a dispute. Complainant said the offender also pulled her hair and tried to run her over with her own car after taking her keys.

3400 block N. 23rd St. – Speaker and trunk lock stolen from a 2000 Ford Expedition.

2400 block W. Somerset St. – 2002 Ford Windstar stolen.

2900 block N. 25th St. – Complainant said a man robbed him at gunpoint. Offender fled with $5,000.

April 22, 2012

3200 block W. Allegheny Ave. – Complainant said that a former tenant stopped by the location and came at him with a butcher knife. Complainant said he locked himself into a room. Offender stabbed the knife into the door of that room as she threatened to kill the complainant.

3500 block N. 15th St. – Complainant said her kids’ father choked her and hit her in the face with a can of beer. He then punched her in the face, broke her television and cut up her boots. Offender was arrested.

April 23, 2012

4600 block Greene St. – 42-inch flat-screen TV and a microwave were stolen from the property.

2900 block School House Lane – Book bag, HP laptop, HP hard drive, black wallet and an ID were stolen from a Nissan Altima.

5300 block Pulaski Ave. – Pioneer stereo with navigation system, turbo timer, turbo manifold, blow-out valve and piping were stolen from a 1998 Audi.

300 block W. Chelten Ave. – 30 panels of temporary fencing stolen from the property.

2900 block W. School House Lane – iPod and a USB cord stolen from a 2010 Toyota Rav-4.

400 W. School House Lane – GPS Tom-Tom, iPod and a Nikon camera were stolen from a 2012 Kia Forte.

4500 block Morris St. – 1995 Buick Century stolen.

2900 block N. 18th St. – Cell phone and a Garmin GPS were stolen from a 2012 Hyundai.

April 24, 2012

3500 block Indian Queen Lane – Impact gun stolen from the property.

3000 block N. Bambrey St. – 2005 Saturn Relay stolen.

3500 block N. 23rd St. – Complainant said a known offender punched her in the face when she tried to break up a fight involving her brother. Complainant was taken to the hospital.

2400 block W. Hunting Park Ave. – Copper wires and cutting tools were stolen from the property.

3700 block N. 18th St. – Complainant said a mattress was set on fire inside the property. The incident was deemed arson.

2900 block N. Broad St. – Complainant said a man robbed the store at gunpoint. Offender ran off with two boxes of America’s Choice butter and a loaf of bread.

3100 block N. 16th St. – Complainant said a man hit him with a bat and repeatedly punched him in the face. Offender arrested.

April 25, 2012

600 block W. Rittenhouse St. – Paper shredder, vacuum cleaner, electric heater and two lamps stolen from the property.

3300 block W. Allegheny Ave. – Complainant said a man stole his cell phone after he let the offender borrow the item.

2900 block W. School House Lane – Two guns stolen from the property.

300 W. Coulter St. – Custom bumper from a 1995 Chevy G20 van was stolen.

100 block Sylvania Street – HP laptop, Polo boots, two pairs of sneakers, Diesel watch and $250

24th St. / Clearfield St. – Complainant said he was shot in the right thigh at the location after hearing five to seven gunshots. Complainant went the hospital.

April 26, 2012

2800 block W. Queen Lane – GPS, charger and $800 stolen from a 2008 Honda.

4800 block Wayne Ave. – 2001 Pontiac Grand Am stolen.

1400 block Pacific St. – Complainant said two men robbed him at gunpoint. Offenders ran off with a cell phone.
