39th Police District: Man beaten and robbed by three teenagers after getting off SEPTA bus

December 10, 2011

200 block W. Penn St. – complainant said a drunken man choked her and threatened her with a knife after starting an argument. The offender was arrested.

3700 block Carlisle St. – complainant said a woman came to his apartment, kicked in his front door and assaulted him. He said the offender then returned and sprayed mace in the complainant’s face. 

1400 block W. Butler St. – complainant said she was raped by a known acquaintance.

1600 block Blavis St. – copper pipes were stolen from the property.

2800 block N. Taney St. – complainant said he was shot in the left hip and stomach. He was taken to the hospital where he was listed in stable condition. At least three other teenagers were shot during the incident. One complainant from that group was found unresponsive at the scene and taken to the hospital where he was listed in critical condition.

3700 block N. Germantown Ave. – complainant said two men robbed him at gunpoint at the location. Offenders ran off with a backpack, laptop, cell phone, $40 and medication.

December 11, 2011

300 block Berkley St. – Xbox 360 and two controllers stolen from the property.

1500 block W. Tioga St. – complainant said a known offender stole $500 from her property.

3800 block N. Broad St. – complainant said a man robbed her at gunpoint. Complainant ran off with a purse.

3100 block N. 22nd St. – complainant said a man robbed her at gunpoint outside of a Laundromat. Complainant ran off with a photo ID, $5 and a set of car keys.

December 12, 2011

200 block W. Chelten Ave. – complainant said a man robbed her at knifepoint. Offender ran off with $50.

4000 block Henry Ave. – complainant said three teenagers assaulted and robbed him at the location. He said the trio approached him after he got off of a SEPTA bus and began punching him in the mouth. They then threw him to the ground and began dragging him down the street. One of the offenders stole the complainant’s cell phone.

3400 block Indian Queen Lane – 2002 Jeep Liberty stolen.

3300 block N. 20th St. – internet box stolen from the property. Complainant said his ex-girlfriend took the item after vandalizing his room. He said she poured water and sugar on his TV, computer and internet box and left several text messages and voicemails telling him what she had done. Complainant said the relationship had ended a few days before the incident.

3100 block N. Hemberger St. – four rings were stolen from the property.

December 13, 2011

4900 block Germantown Ave. – complainant said that her boyfriend hit her several times in the face and body after she refused to give him money. She was taken to the hospital where she was listed in stable condition.

400 block W. Manheim St. – complainant said two men robbed him at the location. He said the offenders approached and placed an unknown object in the back of his neck. Offenders fled with a backpack, USB modem, car jumper cables, documents and a phone car charger.

3700 block N. Broad St. – complainant said two men robbed him at the location. Offenders ran off with an mp3 player, wallet and loose change.

3300 block N. 16th St. – 2008 Dodge Caliber stolen.

4200 block Wissahickon Ave. – 2005 Ford stolen. Complainant said the car contained keys, wallet and a cell phone.

1800 block W. Hunting Park Ave. – complainant said a man and a woman assaulted her. She said one of the offenders punched her repeatedly and that she suffered a concussion. Complainant was taken to the hospital where she was also treated for a broken nose.

2800 block N. Stillman St. – copper pipes and kitchen sink were stolen from the property.

2700 block W. Seltzer St. – a man was murdered. Police found the victim lying on a porch suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Complainant was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead at 8:48 p.m.

2700 block N. 29th St. – 2001 Cadillac stolen between 9 p.m. Dec. 12 and 5 a.m. Dec. 13.

December 14, 2011

5200 block Schuyler St. – 2006 Cadillac stolen.

5500 block Wayne Ave. – complainant said a man stopped his car in front of his, exited his vehicle, stuck a gun in his face and told him to move. Complainant complied. Offender’s car was later found parked. Complainant identified it and the offender. Offender was arrested.

1500 block W. Eerie Ave. – complainant said that a known offender struck her in the face with a closed fist before hitting her several times in the legs with an umbrella. Offender was arrested.

3800 block N. Gratz St. – custom car stereo and an Apple iPod stolen from a 2010 Chevy Impala.

3300 block N. 18th St. – complainant said his wife attacked him while he was in the shower for an unknown reason. He said her nephew also came to the property, pointed a handgun at him and threatened to shoot him.

December 15, 2011

600 block W. Rittenhouse St. – HP laptop, bag, program software, mouse, cell phone, gym bag, clothes, food and driver’s license were stolen from two cars, a 2006 Honda Accord and a 1999 Toyota Avalon.

100 block Manheim St. – 2009 Honda Accord stolen.

2500 block W. Allegheny Ave. – complainant said that two men robbed the store at gunpoint. Offender ran off with $300 and a cell phone.
