Jan. 21, 2011
3100 block N. 29th St. – complainant said someone came up behind her and placed a butcher knife at her back. Complainant said the offender didn’t do anything else and that she ran to school.
300 block W. Schoolhouse Lane – complainant said someone stole her cell phone from a counter at work.
300 block Roberts Ave. – 2000 Plymouth Voyager stolen. Complainant said her vehicle broke down on Jan. 17 and when she returned it was gone.
1900 block W. Pacific St. – complainant said an acquaintance stormed onto her porch and kicked in the front door with such force that when it struck her in the mouth she began to bleed. The complainant had a restraining order against the offender. She refused medical treatment.
3700 block N. 15th St. – wedding ring set and laptop reported stolen from the property Jan. 17. Complainant said she placed her wedding band on the counter while doing dishes and later realized it and her laptop were missing. She said her grandson had an unfamiliar friend over that evening.
2200 block W. Lehigh Avenue – HP laptop computer stolen from the property between 1 p.m. Jan. 19 and 1 a.m. Jan. 20. Complainant said she found the front door kicked in and the items missing.
3100 block N. Rosewood St. – various medications and 30 DVD’s stolen from the property between 2 a.m Jan. 14 and 1:30 p.m. Jan.21. Complainant said someone walked into her apartment and took the items. She said she keeps her place unlocked.
Jan. 22, 2011
100 block W. Sylvania St. – 1993 Crown Victoria stolen around 4 a.m. Jan. 22.
100 block W. Abbottsford Ave. – Police responded to a call of gunshots in the area. When they arrived at the location they found the offender on the sidewalk, who fired a shot in their direction when they announced themselves. Offender attempted to flee in a tan Lincoln, but police stopped him and made an arrest.
2200 block W. Pacific St. – complainant said someone came up behind him and hit him in the face with an unknown object. The offender then struck him in the head several more times. Complainant was taken to the hospital for several lumps and a swollen face.
3200 block Fox Street – 2004 Nissan Quest stolen between 6:30 and 8:30 p.m. Jan. 22.
Jan. 23, 2011
Unit block W. Logan St. – two laptops, two flip-cameras and an external hard drive stolen from the St. Martin De Porres School. Complainant, a teacher, worked late at the private school Jan. 22. When he returned the following morning he found a side door window and an office door broken on separate floors and the items missing.
4900 block Wayne Ave. – Apple iPod, GPS, flip-camera and a pocketbook stolen from a 2006 Ford Taurus between 9:30 p.m. Jan. 22 and 12:05 a.m. Jan.23.
Jan. 24, 2011
4800 block Ridge Ave. – 24 steel brackets, 18 taper bolts, 24 pipe braces and more stolen from the property. Complainant is the supervisor for the company and said he noticed the items were gone between 2 p.m. Jan.21 and 7 a.m. Jan.24.
3700 block N. Bouvier St. – complainant said she walked into her home after dropping off her kids at school to find three men with handguns waiting by the front door. Complainant said the offenders asked for money and then tied her up with plastic zip ties. After ransacking the house, they left with the complainant’s cell phone. After freeing herself two hours later, she called 911. There were no signs of a forced entry.
4300 block N. Broad St. – 1998 Ford Contour stolen. Complainant said he last saw the car around 6 p.m. Jan. 22, but that he noticed it was missing the morning of Jan. 24. The car does not belong to the complainant, but someone else who was having the car serviced at the location.
3600 block N. 15th St. – Acer laptop, Nintendo Wii game system and game stolen from the property between 10:30 and 11:30 a.m. Jan.24. Complainant said someone entered the house through an unlocked front window. She said she later saw the offender on the street with the items and was able to recover those items he dropped as he dashed away.
Jan. 25, 2011
400 block N. 19th St. – complainant said her friend pushed and shoved her before he pulled out a small gun and threatened her. Offender fled the location before police arrived. There were no injuries.
3700 block Midvale Ave. – Sony digital camera and $370 stolen from a day care facility. Complainant said she arrived at work and found several broken windows and a safe cracked open.
5000 block Greene St. – complainant said her boyfriend broke into her apartment through a bathroom window and tried to take their daughter. When the complainant tried to stop him, the offender started slapping, punching and kicking her in the head, face and body. He also hit her with a VCR. After throwing around some more items, he fled through the front door.
3600 block Eveline St. – 2006 Saturn ION stolen.
2900 block N. 22nd St. – complainant said someone stole his bike between 2:45 and 2:50 p.m. Jan. 25. He added that it had been chained to a handicap pole and that a passerby witnessed an older man steal the bike.
2600 block W. Lehigh Ave. – 1995 Chevy Impala stolen. Car owner said he left the vehicle running momentarily as he ran into a corner store. When he came out the car was gone.
Jan. 26, 2011
1800 block W. Venango St. – car radio was stolen. Complainant said she last saw her car in tact around 5 p.m. Jan. 25. At around 1 a.m. Jan. 26, she said, she noticed her driver side and rear windows smashed and the stereo stolen.
3700 block N. 15th St. – building owner said he received a phone call at 8 a.m. Jan. 25. from a tenant who said someone had attempted to set the porch on fire four hours earlier. Damage was done to the front porch and steps. Firefighters responded to the location and the Fire Marshall was notified.
1900 block W. Hunting Park Ave. – complainant said he was waiting for the bus when a man approached and punched him. The offender fled on foot with the complainant’s iPod.
2400 block W. Allegheny Ave. – complainant said two women, one with a knife, another with a gun, robbed her on the street. Offenders took off with a book bag containing books, various IDs and a pocketbook containing a wallet, IDs and credit cards.

4300 block Wissahickon Ave. – complainant said someone stole a toolbox containing various tools from a secured locker at the location.
2200 block W. Toronto St. – complainant said someone stole her purse from the grocery store counter while she was getting food. The bag contained a cell phone, various IDs and $20.
