$225K lottery ticket sold in Roxborough
If you recently purchased a Cash 5 ticket in Roxborough, it could be your lucky day.
The $225,000 ticket that correctly matched all five balls in Sunday’s drawing, 12-13-15-17-24, was purchased at Shoprite of Roxborough on Ridge Avenue.
Lottery officials cannot confirm the identity of the winner until the prize is claimed and the ticket is validated. The Shoprite will receive a $500 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
To play Cash 5, the player pays $1 to select five numbers from 1 to 43. The player can select their own numbers or they can opt for computer-selected quick picks. Cash 5 drawings are held seven nights a week and tickets can be purchased up to one week in advance.
Lottery officials say the odds of winning this jackpot are 1-in-962,598.
Winners of lottery tickets are advised to sign the back of the ticket, call the Lottery at 717-702-8146 and file a claim at Lottery headquarters in Middletown.
