This after-hours event celebrates the last weeks of the exhibition Dream Streets: Art in Wilmington 1970–1990 and Delaware’s hip hop culture. Celebrate the transition from summer into fall at Rockwood’s Faerie Fest! Put on your wings and enjoy games, stories, enchanted crafts, faerie and gnome parades, children’s museum tours, and a faerie house and gnome home contest. The day will also include food vendors, vendors selling faerie wares, and visits from special guests such as the Fairy Queen, the Tooth Fairy, Philip the Gnome, and other magical surprise guests! We’re excited to welcome Blue Hen Comedy, to the Smyrna Opera House as they present a curated evening of some of the most buzzed about up and coming comedians in the region. Content may not be appropriate for children. The show starts at 7:00 pm. Doors open at 6:15 pm. Tickets are $16 general admission and $14 for members, senior citizens, and military. A day not to be missed at The Freeman Stage at Bayside! Stroll the green and enjoy previewing the artwork of Delmarva’s finest artists, whom are sponsored by Delaware by Hand. Pull up a chair and groove to some of the most talented jazz artists to ever play at the shore – Joe Baione Sextet, Catherine Russell, and Cyrus Chestnut! 081515masksCourage Unmasked Rehoboth Beach Gala Auction, September 19th

CURB is a silent and live auction to raise money and awareness for head and neck cancer (HNC). Artists from all over the country created fine art by transforming radiation masks formerly worn by HNC patients to position and immobilize their heads during treatment. These unique masterpieces will be auctioned at the Gala. Money from mask sales and admissions will support HNC patients and survivors at Beebe’s Tunnel Cancer Center, Lewes, Delaware. 9114 HNC.org Rehoboth Art League.
