Once On This Island is a captivating legend of romance between a peasant girl and a rich city boy whom she saves from death. This calypso-flavoured re-telling of The Little Mermaid opens on a Caribbean island where villagers comfort a little girl with the story of the orphan Ti Moune, destined to love too much for the human heart to bear. Open Studio: Star Wars Spaceships, September 4th & 5th
Get ready for the upcoming Star Wars invasion at the DCM, on Saturday, Sept. 5, by assembling your own spaceship (just like the ones your favorite characters have) using recycled materials! Afterwards, you can paint on the easels, explore the sensory bin, or tell an outer space story on the felt board. Delaware Children’s Museum, Wilmington.
