Turn your small sketches and drawings into hand carved, low relief art tiles. We will look at a brief history of art tiles; discuss design choices and best methods to approach creating art tiles. We will explore creating 3-D surfaces with shellac resist, carving, and raised glazes. Students will have a chance to work with both terra cotta and porcelain and will learn how to glaze their work. Guitarist Bruce Anthony plays timeless jazz standards from the American songbook, with an impeccable style that incorporates swing, ragtime and his own personal interpretation. Friends of Folk is a non-profit organization devoted to the promotion and preservation of folk music in Delaware. As a part of First Friday activities, Friends of Folk will be hosting a series of concerts during the winter. The Old State House, Dover.

A man of few words, Gaby manages his family’s farm on his own, despite his advancing age.
