Mo Lowda & The Humble is a three piece Indie-rock group from Philadelphia, PA. The band has created a unique musical style combining various genres ranging from garage rock to jazz fusion; characterized by soulful vocals, a larger than life rhythm section, and intense live performances. The Art of Dessert 2015, February 6th
Celebrate the culinary arts with a variety of desserts from several Newark restaurants. Enjoy specialty creations prepared by local chefs, and vote for your favorite. Your admission includes one free drink from the cash bar. All non-alcoholic drinks are free. During the party, everything in our Gallery Shop and Exhibition Gallery will be 10% off. Perfect for your Valentine’s Day shopping. Advance tickets will be held at the door. Tickets can also be purchased at the door at the Newark Arts Alliance.

Handmade art tiles, February 1st
Turn your small sketches and drawings into hand carved, low relief art tiles. We will look at a brief history of art tiles; discuss design choices and best methods to approach creating art tiles. We will explore creating 3-D surfaces with shellac resist, carving, and raised glazes. Students will have a chance to work with both terra cotta and porcelain and will learn how to glaze their work. Friends of Folk Concert: Bruce Anthony, February 6th
Guitarist Bruce Anthony plays timeless jazz standards from the American songbook, with an impeccable style that incorporates swing, ragtime and his own personal interpretation. Friends of Folk is a non-profit organization devoted to the promotion and preservation of folk music in Delaware. As a part of First Friday activities, Friends of Folk will be hosting a series of concerts during the winter. The Old State House, Dover.

Milton Arts Guild: Winter Reception, January 31st
MAG’s annual Winter show and sale. Formerly this event was held at the Milton Firehall. This will be our first time holding the Winter Reception in the MAG Gallery as well as studio spaces at the Studios on Walnut (SOW). Milton Arts Guild – Studios on Walnut.
The Rehoboth Beach Film Society presents: The Auction, February 4th
A man of few words, Gaby manages his family’s farm on his own, despite his advancing age. With his two grown daughters living far away in the big city, he spends his days tending to the animals and land that surround him, eschewing modern technology and most social interactions. When his eldest daughter, Marie, appears at the family homestead to share news that she’s getting divorced and in desperate need of money, Gaby’s quiet life begins to unravel.
