13 nonprofits to get $125-thousand in grants from Delaware Fund for Women

The Delaware Community Foundation Fund for Women tonight will award $125,000 in grants to 13 nonprofit organizations for their programs that support women and girls. 

 

Programs focus on such issues as domestic violence, health related issues, at-risk adolescent girls, parenting skills, financial education, housing, employment and more. 

The program is being held at the Duncan Center, 500 W. Loockerman Street in Dover from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.

Marilyn Hyte of Hockessin will also be honored with the 2011 “Driving Force Award” for her leadership on the grants committee.

The Fund for Women was established in 1993 under a DCF endowment.
