112-year-old Atlantic City bakery closing as part of merger

More than just casinos are closing in Atlantic City.

The Press of Atlantic City reports that the 112-year-old Ginsburg Bakery has told employees it plans to close its facility in the city and move to Bellmawr, Camden County.

News of the impending closure came in a WARN notice filed with the state’s Department of Labor and Workforce Development. The notice says some employees will be able to apply for jobs at the new facility.

The move is part of the company’s merger with the Baker Boys and the fresh direct store delivery line of Amoroso’s Baking Company.
