Affordable Care Act update

Listen

With the March 31st deadline for purchasing health insurance just weeks away, it’s likely that the federal government will fall short of its goal of enrolling 7 million Americans in insurance plans. Under the new health care law, those without coverage will be subject to federal tax penalties. This morning on Radio Times we’ll get an update on the Affordable Care Act – efforts to get people insured, the impact on patients and providers and the challenges of implementing the law. NPR’s Jeff Brady talks with DAVID GRANDE, assistant professor of medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, and Drexel University professor ROBERT FIELD.
