Intense blaze damages Stone Harbor Manor house

Officials say firefighters quickly extinguished the fire.

No one was injured when an intense blaze broke out in a Cape May County house on Monday.

Stone Harbor and Cape May Court House firefighters responded to the fire on Second Drive in Stone Harbor Manor shortly after 11 a.m., according to a new release.

Upon arrival, firefighters encountered the rear of the structure engulfed in flames. Thick black smoke from the blaze was spotted from miles away.

Officials say the firefighters quickly extinguished the fire.

Water tanker trucks from the Goshen and Green Creek fire departments also responded to the scene.

The Cape May County Fire Marshal’s Office also responded to conduct an investigation into the cause.
