Shirley Min is co-host of WHYY-TV’s You Oughta Know, your guide to what’s happening in the greater Philadelphia region. Each week, Min and co-host Regina Mitchell arm you with news, events, pop culture facts and consumer tips to make life a little better. A Radnor-native, Min joined WHYY in 2011 as a reporter, producer and host covering Delaware for television and radio. The majority of her stories focused on the environment, clean water and veterans. Over the course of her almost 20-year career in journalism, Shirley has won several awards most recently from the Delaware Press Association. In 2018, she won First Place for her coverage of recidivism in Delaware. She was also awarded First Place for her profile about a watchmaking school in Delaware exclusively for veterans. Min came to WHYY from Raleigh, North Carolina where she was an anchor/reporter for an NBC affiliate covering major stories like the Duke Lacrosse case and the Carolina Hurricanes’ Stanley Cup win in 2006. Shirley graduated from New York University and lives in Wilmington with her husband and two children.
