@kaelanisaysKae Lani Palmisano is the Emmy Award-winning host of WHYY’s Check, Please! Philly, a show that explores dining in the Philadelphia region. She’s also a writer and host of WHYY’s digital series Delishtory. When she’s not on screen, this South Jersey native is developing recipes, writing for various food and travel publications, and hosting her food podcast “Amuse-Bouche.” As a storyteller, Kae Lani focuses on having fun with food while educating audiences about where it comes from and its historical and cultural impact. Her research has taken her across four continents, from exploring the Spice Route through Israel and Europe to foraging with the Māori in New Zealand. Kae Lani lives by the motto “life is too short to live anything but deliciously.” Her work has been published in USA TODAY 10Best, KitchenAid Stories, Roads & Kingdoms, and more.
