A newly discovered earth-like planet a mere 21 light years away zips around it’s orange dwarf sun in a mere three days. Kepler 452b remains the exoplanet discovered to date that is most earth-like to the extent that liquid water can exist there. Russian internet investor Yuri Milner has donated $100 million to see if any of those distant objects have intelligent life. Planets Dance! – This week pre-dawn Mercury rises in the sky, while Jupiter starts its climb toward Mars. The combined motions of the planets but particularly the earth’s motion around the sun gives us a moving platform resulting in a quickly shifting perspective. Makes it seem like the planets are really trucking through the sky when actually it’s us!
