Update on Boston Bombings Investigation

    Listen

GUESTS:  Kevin Cullen, Emma Gilligan, Terry Boult

As events unfold in Boston, we’ll explore the bombing investigation from three perspectives. We’ll start off with Boston Globe columnist Kevin Cullen who has been writing about the bombings.   He’s on his cell phone in the area that is the focus of the manhunt for the remaining suspect. Then we’ll get an understanding of the history of the Chechen rebellion against Russia and how Chechen nationals fighting for independence have become radicalized in recent years.  University of Connecticut professor Emma Gilligan joins us. Video surveillance cameras were crucial in the identification of the bombing suspects.  We’ll talk to security expert Terry Boult at University of Colorado in Colorado springs about the technology and its use and limitations for law enforcement.
