Through descriptions of living on moths and eating tiger tacos, Johnson takes us on a journey from North Korea to Texas and back, informed by his highly monitored trip to North Korea, to describe the daily fear and mistrust of North Koreans. The Orphan Master’s Son is Adam Johnson’s second novel. He teaches creative writing at Stanford University.
