Listen 00:48:45

Guests: David Graham and Peter Spiro

To become President, a candidate must be a “natural-born citizen” according to the United States Constitution. But what does that term mean exactly, where did it come from, and do all of the current Presidential candidate qualify? We’ll talk with DAVID GRAHAM, a staff writer at The Atlantic, about his new article “What’s the Point of the New Ted Cruz Birtherism?” And we’ll be joined in studio by PETER SPIRO, the Charles Weiner Chair in international law at Temple University to talk about the origins of the term and its constitutional meaning.
