Texas Governor Rick Perry announced his bid for the presidency last weekend on the same day of the Iowa straw poll shaking up the field of top contenders. Results from the poll put Representative Michele Bachmann in first place with Libertarian presidential candidate Ron Paul in a close second. After coming in third, former Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty decided to withdraw from the race. So what does Perry’s entrance mean for the Republican presidential race? Is Romney still the front-runner? And who will win the Tea Party support — Bachmann or Perry?
