The economic cost of the war in Iraq

LINDA BILMES, and her co-author, Nobel Prize winning economist Joseph Stiglitz, estimate the Iraq war is costing close to 1 trillion dollars and still counting, 20% more than predicted by the Bush administration. Bilmes joins Marty to talk about the cost of the war, its impact on the U.S. economy, budget and the families of America’s veterans. She and Stiglitz have co-authored the book, “The Three Trillion Dollar War.”
