TEMPLE GRANDIN – Animals Make Us Human

[REBROADCAST] TEMPLE GRANDIN is the most well-known adult with autism. In her recent book, “Animals Make Us Human: Creating the Best Life for Animals,” Grandin observes most animals – pets and livestock – as having a need to seek and a sense of rage, fear and panic, as well as a need to play. Grandin is known for her commitment to treating livestock as humanely as possible on its way to slaughter, working closely with the facilities’ design in which half the cattle are handled in the United States, consulting for firms including Burger King and McDonald’s.
