Should kids do chores?

Listen

Guests: Richard Weissbourd, Madeline Levine

Did you do have to do chores when you were a child – mow the lawn, take out the trash, do the dishes or fold laundry? While most of us did chores growing up, these days very few parents make their children help out around the house. Are kids missing out by not having to pitch in? We’ll talk about the pros and cons of chores and how they can shape a child’s character with psychologist MADELINE LEVINE, author of Teaching your Children Well and RICHARD WEISSBOURD, a psychologist at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government and School of Education.
