    Hour 2

Think you’re not creative? Every time you make a sentence, it’s a creative act. Human creativity is essential to our ability to survive and thrive as a species, says our guest, Harvard psychologist and creativity researcher SHELLEY CARSON. She has been studying human creativity and the brain and has developed strategies to tap into one’s creative potential. Dr. Carson is also an expert for the Department of Defense project, “afterdeployment.org,” which provides online mental health assistance to service members returning from Iraq and Afghanistan. She writes a Psychology Today blog, “Life as Art,” and her new book is, “Your Creative Brain: Seven Steps to Maximize Imagination, Productivity, and Innovation in Your Life.”
