Politicians are fighting over school lunch and the higher nutritional standards set by Michelle Obama’s “Healthy, Hunger-free Kids Act” of 2010. House Republicans want to allow schools to opt out of the guidelines for a year. They are supported by the School Nutrition Association, who argues that the new rules are costly and lead to a lot of food waste. Today we get both sides of the debate and talk with a behavioral economist about simple ways to get kids to eat healthy food.
